In order for the business to succeed, employers have a particularly important task – to bring together a productively working and motivated team. It’s not easy to bring different people together for a common purpose, so more and more attention is paid to find out what encourages employees’ creativity and mutual cooperation. An increasing number of employers follow the example of big companies like Google, Apple and Facebook and focuses more on creating a productivity-encouraging work environment.
This kind of space can be found in newly equipped office, in recently opened business centre on Baršauskas street, Kaunas. Ideas designed by the architect were implemented by the non-standard furniture manufacturing company “Idėjų parkas”. The new office is equipped with separate work and leisure space, student training – integration area, reception – registration area, conference and meeting rooms, kitchenettes, cloakroom for employees. While implementing the project the office was equipped with a total of about 80 ergonomic workplaces (adjustable height tables, acoustical partitions for separate workplaces, additional shelves and drawer cabinets). There are also six spacious, manager’s rooms of different design. It is no coincidence that non-standard, curved, rounded furniture was chosen instead of straight and angled shapes – this is done in order to inject the space with positivity and to encourage to employees to work more efficiently.
While equipping this modern office, exclusive attention was paid to the quality of the rest of the employees during breaks. Leisure facilities are complemented by a children’s playroom. This premise is equipped with acoustic solutions that isolate the sound and provide privacy. Employees have comfortable and perhaps unconventional dining areas – “cottages” that give the impression of privacy. Students – training area is equipped with spacious arched constructions, which divide the whole space into separate areas. Unconventional LED lighting elements are also used in constructions. In the office there is a playfully equipped cloakroom, platform for listeners– an amphitheather instead of “boring” chairs. The final accents in facilities are played by light and colours of accessories.
The total area of the equipped facilities is 1600 m2. Traditional materials (chipboards, laminated chipboards, MDF (medium density fiberboard), HPL (high pressure laminate), glass, wood, plywood, lag, plastic and stainless steel) are used in furniture production, as well as, non-traditional materials such as acrylic stone HI-MACS (photos 4, 5 ), laminate and lag of less common types.
UAB “Idėjų parkas” knows how quality furniture design, production, delivery and outfitting should be done. With than 20 years of experience in producing non-standard furniture, the company can offer its customers and clients the right solutions for the equipment of stores, offices, hotels and other public spaces.
